My name is Martin Morley.I was born in Taunton, Somerset,in 1961.
My first interest in photography evolved from my interest in aviation,it became a method of recording what I had seen.I entered several photo competitions in a local aviation group, with much success, this spured me on further, I started to concentrate on a more artistic approach to my work.Eventually I had the courage to submit some transparencies (slides) to a well known Aviation magazine, and to my amazement had a double page spread, on my first effort.To follow this up a Russian author requested one of the shots for the front cover of his book.
A year later I was approached by a close friend who asked me to photograph his wedding, nervously I accepted, and picked up a further booking on the day.Having seen many peoples wedding shots with endless images of regimently placed subjects, looking like rabbits stunned by headlights!, I decided to shoot images as your day unfolds,and not dictate to you how it will happen. In essence work around you, and let you both enjoy your day!.
MJM PHOTOGRAPHICS, was launched in November 2006,from just relying on "word of mouth",which is a good advert in it`s self, to an active and up and coming small business, which prides it`s self in a close knit relationship, with it`s clients.Nothing is too much trouble, you only deal with one person from start to finish, and thats , me, Martin.
My recent assignment has been photographing Search and Rescue (SAR), operations with Bristow helicopters, on behalf of HR Smith Group, who manufacture safety equipment for helicopters.
Images are created using the eye and the heart, it all stems from "passion"for the subject, the camera and the lens is just a tool. I look forward to working with you in the future!.
